The internet. It’s full of content you don’t want the kids to see. And a bottomless pit of comedy gold that distracts us from getting through our to-do lists. Another meme, anyone?! Fear not. We’ve got the answer….

If you’ve not done so already, dive into the eero app, where you can create profiles and add them to your devices.

Once that’s all up and running, you can tailor those profiles to block out content. And you can pretty much stop whoever you want from seeing whatever you like. Websites? Gone. Apps? Blocked. And that specific theme you’re really not keen on? All totally filtered.

Let’s get started

When you know who you’d like to block from what, open the eero app and tap on Profiles. Choose the profile you want to manage and select Content Filters. You’ll see a few templates like Preschool , Teen , and Adult . These are ready-made content filters that take all the faff out for you.

An eero app mockup shows preset content filters you can use based on the type of person using a profile. Choose from pre teen, teenager, and more

How to block websites with eero

Is there a specific website you want to block? Maybe it’s a distracting news site, Facebook or eBay – that’s easily sorted.

While you’re still in the profile settings, tap Block & Allow Sites and then Add Blocked Site. Pop in the URL and simply hit Save.

Bosh. That profile no longer has access.

How to block apps using eero profiles

Too many Netflix all-nighters? TikTok taking over? Vinted addict? We hear you. And relate. But that’s all easily sorted, too.

Go back to Content Filters and scroll down to Blocked Applications. From here, you can choose from categories like streaming , gaming , or social media – and block whatever you need to with just a tap. Easy.

Schedule internet downtime

Don’t forget, the force is strong. You have absolute power. At the tap of a button, you can pause access on any device. Whenever you choose. That might mean scheduling internet downtime or taking away access completely. (Go you!)

It’s super handy for mealtimes, bedtimes, and those all-too-common ‘why aren’t they listening?’ times. Oh yeah, we see you!
